久保建英とバルサ16歳新星は「ライバル」　“元友人”同士の才能に海外注目「世界の希望」

バルサ下部組織で共闘したファティと久保　地元紙も太鼓判「両者とも素晴らしい選手」

スペインの名門バルセロナで現在大きな話題となっているのは、16歳にしてトップチームでゴールを決めるなど結果を起こしているギニアビサウ出身のMFアンス・ファティだ。彼を巡る注目度は日ごとに増す一方だが、マジョルカの日本代表MF久保建英との縁について、マジョルカの地元紙が紹介している。

「Diario de Mallorca」紙は「クボとアンス・ファティは友達でありライバル」というタイトルの記事で、「マジョルカの日本人MFとバルセロナのギニアビサウ出身のアタッカーは、幼少の頃にユニフォームをともに着ていたのだ」と言及した。

10月31日に17歳となるファティの1歳年上に当たる久保だが、バルセロナの下部組織所属時代にファティとともにプレーしていた経験を持つ。それについて、このように触れている。

「彼らに共通する若い能力、そしてピッチで見せる高いクオリティーのプレーとともに、クボとファティには大きな共通点がある。例を挙げれば、彼らはどちらもブラウグラナ（青とエンジ／バルセロナの愛称）のカンテラ、下部組織で発掘され、前線のアタッカーとして決定的な仕事をしていた」

このように紹介された両者だが「赤きユニフォーム（マジョルカ）、ブラウグラナをそれぞれ身にまとう2人は、それぞれのクラブの力になるため戦うライバルとなり、友情をとどめておかなければならない。それは世界のサッカーの大きな希望であり、両者ともに素晴らしい選手だ」と期待を懸けている。

久保とファティの“出世競争”はスペインだけでなく世界的にも大きな注目を集めそうだ。
